The Oregon Reined Cow Horse Association continues to showcase the traditional training of California vaqueros. This training was essential for managing range-bred cattle in the 18th and 19th century. Reined cow horses need to be willing, intelligent and athletic in order to accomplish all that needs to be done on the range. ORCHA is preserving these traditions through shows and workshops that are friendly to riders at all skill levels.
